Domainer Mardi Gras – Now that’s something to think about:)

Well, I have to admit that I never saw this one coming.

Just read at Ron’s DNJournal.com that a new domain industry conference is entering the domain space. This one promises to be a lot more fun….at least it appears so:)

I must say that Parked.com and Modern Domainer Magazine are good marketers. Well, who would have thought of a domainer conference called “Domainer Mardi Gras”. This conference name has a unique curiosity built-in it. Domainers will sure like to know what kind of event will this be and what will it have common  with Mardi Gras festival. Well, this name will sure save them a ton of marketing dollars. Plus the venue and conference time is also a definite plus.

Apart from being fun, I am wondering how this domain conference will be different than the ones we already have. Given that domain industry is already crowded with conferences all year round, it will be interesting to see how Parked.com and Modern Domainer Magazine make this one a hit. Given the reputation of the companies involved, I am sure that something unique and interesting is on the horizon. I for sure welcome more conferences and more live domain auctions in our industry. More competition is always good for domain industry in general, and for domainers in particular.
